History

The Kankali Devi Temple, often referred to as the Tigawa temple, has a sanctum and an open portico supported on four pillars. It is one of the oldest temples of Devi Kali Maa known as one of the Shaktipeeth among Hindu pilgrims. The statue of the Kankali diety also resemble a corpse with the head bending on one side. There is a special puja during Chaitra and Sharde navratri.
