History

Binsar Mahadev Mandir is located in Ranikhet, Bisaona, Uttarakhand. This temple dedicated to Hindu Lord Shiva was constructed in the 10th century. The architecture of this temple is magnificent, with the idols of Hindu Goddess deities in the form of Maheshmardini, every gauri and Ganesh.  Ganesh worship happened in the morning. Later, the women of the area took out the Kalash Yatra in the temple premises. It is known that the founder Brahmalin Naga Baba Mohan Giri Maharaj had started the yagnotsav and the annual festival. There is a 10-day ritual each year on the basis of this tradition.
