History
Koniamman Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Koniamman located in Town Hall, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. Koyamma, the goddess worshiped by chieftain Koyan evolved into Koniamma and the name of the city Koyambuthur could have been derived from Kovaiamma. The temple dates back to 16th century A.D.
